The Walls That Keep On Growing
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This is a solo journaling game in which you document your journey and discoveries within a shifting, seemingly endless underground labyrinth. You woke in a strange room with few fragmented memories of a past you tried to run from: there are no doors in sight, but you find rooms, hallways, secret passages and sets of stairs as you make your way through this unknown underground system. With plentiful supplies and resources filling up the rooms you pass whenever you need them, your only time limit is how long you can stand to be here. Your goal is to find a way out... and to uncover your connection to the walls you have found yourself in.
What do you remember about the life you left behind?
What do you hope or fear lies ahead?
What do the places you pass through mean to you?
Where do you plan to go when you reach the exit?
The gameplay of The Walls That Keep On Growing is based on The Wretched, product of Chris Bissette and Loot The Room, and was created for Wretched Jam.

Is this game something that would be workable with kids from the ages of 7-10? I’m undecided based on the description and the prompts could make it go either way. Thanks!
Hi! My apologies for this late response, I didn't see it until now. Due to the recurring themes of trauma and isolation that the player's character has to encounter and process throughout the game, I would not recommend it for kids at that age. I would personally rate it as PG13. I hope this helps!
I accidentally made this kinda fraught for myself, more than the game quite intended (the deck of cards I found was a Dragon Age one and I picked a random card to figure out who my letter was from and it was Dorian Pavus and I decided the letter was from my brother and that we had homophobic parents) but I had a good time and I would recommend it!
My apologies for my late response, I didn't see your comment until now! Thank you so much for your feedback and I'm very glad that you had a good time playing!
Is there going to be more Community Copies added in the future?
Yes, I intend to add more: every time I get five sales on a project with community copies I add five to that project's community copies pool, so there should be more available soon!
Okay, thank you for replying!
