Visiting Northland
A downloadable game
Take a trip to Northland from Witches of the North!
Your story is set on a planet called the Globe and takes place some hundred or so years after the fall of the Empire of the Isles.
You are visiting Northland (Zemite Avrorissni, the Lands of Aurora), a little kingdom in the heart of the Balkans. It is surrounded by a protective wall called the Aurora, visible from many kilometers away, that illuminates the night sky. The official languages are Aurorian and English. Northland is always covered in snow and seldom has warm days.
Entering Northland you will travel through special Gates that go through the Aurora barrier.
First, you will go to the airport of your origin, get through a Gate that takes you to a place in the Balkans (it looks like a train station! But without trains…) and go through a second Gate that takes you directly through the Aurora and into Northland, in the Middle Frontier region, a town called Kolonata. There are no other entry points. If you carry any electronics, keep in mind the Gates will drain them, so be sure to have chargers!
This game is a collaboration between Nathaniel Oldrin and somewherewithstories based on the Witches of the North novel. This game can be fully experienced without the context of the story, but please give it a try if you are curious! All profits from the game before publication went towards the initial fundraiser, and now that the book has been released all profits will go towards funding the sequel!
