Our Town's Magical Haberdasher

Tucked away on a side street of our town, right beside the overflowing, overflowering florist, is our town’s magical haberdasher.

Most of the stock sold here is made to order. Customers typically come with a specific goal in mind for fabric for a new dress, buttons to restore an old blouse, trimmings for a scarf… and so on and so forth. They return a few days later to collect their order and begin to work on their magic infused garment or article.

Meanwhile, the rolls of fabric, bundles of yarn and abundance of trailing trimmings on display in the store are yet to be infused with magic. The very same goes for any tools on display. Customers are always welcome to purchase these too, but it happens considerably rarely.

But right at the entrance of the shop is a small basket of odds and ends. These are leftover items from custom orders: one day there might be a sparkling yard of fabric suffused with an invisibility spell, the next an assortment of oddly shaped buttons that when sewn onto a garment will allow the wearer to teleport, pastel yarn ready to be turned into a scarf to lead someone to a cherished item they were certain was lost for good… and so on and so forth.
